Sierra Nelson (Maestro) is elated to be joining the inaugural production of Maestro’s Magical Music Box Live! Since the age of six, she has studied dance, vocals, and acting at various institutions including but not limited to the Alvin Ailey School, Harlem School Of The Arts, and The Rosetta Lenoire musical theater program AMAS. Her performance experience includes Lincoln Center, the Oberia Dempsey theater, The Cranky Cabaret, The Dramatic Hall, the Universoul Circus, the White Plains Performing Arts Center, and The Bronx Zoo

Emily Upton (Prima Ballerina) is honored to be educating and creating alongside such wonderful artists in joining the cast of Maestro's Magical Music Box Live! You may have last seen her also passionately educating through theatre at the Bronx Zoo Wildlife Theatre. Other regional credits include Anybodys in West Side Story, Mercy Lewis in The Crucible, and the title role in Sleeping Beauty. A proud graduate of Wagner College. Utmost thanks to her incredible family.

Anthony White (Sir Kinsey, Petey the Pelican, Delivery Guy, Ocean Animals) is delighted to be part of this show! He is a puppeteer and cartoonist who designs puppets as often as he performs them. Anthony has previously spent the past year performing the titular role of Paddington Bear across the country in Paddington Gets in a Jam. Other previous works include Nick Jr's Puppet Preschool, street team performances for Stacey Weingarten's Rescue Rue as well as projects for Tau Bennett, Rachel Anne Sennott and many others. Anthony would be remiss if he didn't thank his dear friend, Sebastiano Ricci, someone Anthony couldn't be here without. 

Rylee Vogel (Swing) is honored to be a part of this amazing production and to bring magic to the stage! She is a recent graduate from Colorado University with a degree in Communication. Some of her favorite past credits include Sound of Music (CDP), Footloose (CDP), Cinderella (CDP), 13 the Musical (Wolf Theater), Mary Poppins (BDT/MAC), and ThreePenny Opera (CUUT). Lisa Lockley (ASL Interpreter) was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, but spent most of her childhood between Maryland and Virginia. She has worked for the Federal Government for over 35 years, which allows her to assist states and local governments in meeting their community development needs with Federal grants. Lisa’s entry into the interpreting profession started by volunteering in the Deaf community and in church, which eventually led to freelance interpreting and a passion for theatrical interpreting for the past 10 years. In 2019, she learned about cruise interpreting and My Hands Your Heart, LLC, where she later became its Administrator Assistant. Lisa has served as President of the National Alliance of Black Interpreters (NAOBI) NYC and has held positions as Vice President and Member-at-Large. In addition, she has served as Member-at-Large for NYC Metro Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), Secretary for NYC Black Deaf Advocates, and Secretary for the Board. Lisa also has memberships to the following affiliations: NYC Black Deaf Advocates, Culture Sign Language Network, National Action Network/Interpreters Advocate Committee, Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, and New York City Metro Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. December 2019, Lisa received her Master of Arts in Liberal Arts Studies (MALS) from Herbert H. Lehman College of the City University of New York. She also received her Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Sociology from the College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, New York, and her Associate in Arts with an emphasis in Deaf Studies from Fiorello H. LaGuardia Community College of the City University of New York. She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and Golden Key International Honor Society. Her interests include striving daily at fortifying her relationship with God, community engagement, volunteerism, traveling, reading, and enjoying the adventures life has to offer.

Cheritha Saulsby (ASL Interpreter) has worked as a public school educator at a Deaf and Hard of Hearing school for 19 years. She has recently graduated from LaGuardia Community College Interpreter's Education Program and has experience interpreting in various settings. From the Bronx Zoo to Broadway… Cheritha's first children's theater debut came in 2022 when she interpreted Professor Jurassic's Dino-stravaganza, Birds or Dinosaurio, and Boo at the Zoo: The Wildlife Witch's Spooky Spectacular for WCS "Wildlife Theater". She performed her first Broadway debut at The American Airlines Theater interpreting 1776 The Musical as well as a children’s Broadway show at The New Victory Theater called Baobab. It's Cheritha Saulsby's first debut at the Kraine Theater interpreting Maestro’s Magical Music Box and she is delighted to be there working with such an amazing team and cast. Thank you Nikki Casseri and Brandon  Schraml for such an amazing opportunity!

Bernadine Virani (ASL Interpreter) is an ASL interpreter who's expertise has lead to many wonderful experiences. She has interpreted for Nelson Mandala, Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie, as she toured with them. She's Interpreted for Earth, Wind and Fire, Prince, and Morris Day and the Time. Bernadine Interpreted Festivals for 20 years with Hudson Valley Clearwater Festival. Her favorite skill is interpreting songs, poetry and gospel singing, and church interpreting.

Jaerri Sumter (Make Up/Hair Design) fondly known amongst her peers as “Miss Jae" studied Theater at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts. Miss Jae was surrounded by creativity and beautiful transformations. Captivated by all the backstage work she started to take interest in makeup artistry. Miss Jae graduated from Makeup Designory (MUD) in 2016 in the heart of the Financial District of lower Manhattan in New York City; with a focus in Multimedia Arts. Once completed Miss Jae has perfected her craft in Beauty, Avant Gardé, Hairstyling, and Special Effects. Since then, Miss Jae has worked with major companies such as Estee Lauder, Netflix, Chanel, Lifetime, and Marie Claire. The experience that she has gained from working with various companies has allowed her to create her own style. Miss Jae’s mission is to execute the vision of anyone who sits in her chair. Designing customized looks, and inspiring clients to look their personal best.

 

Gerry DeMan (Music Orchestrator, Arranger of Maestro’s Magical Music Box and Reprise, Ballerina’s Ribbon, Swim, Learn, and Play, Be the Change) has been the music director of the Xavier Company since 1995. He studied piano with Rudy Agresta and Marion Verse-James and Choral Conducting with Dr. George E. Hansler. Gerry is also the Director of Music at the Church of St. Mary in Rutherford, NJ and lives in Rutherford with his wife Lorraine, and his children Mary and John.

16th Note Productions (Music Orchestrator, Arrangers of Dynamic Friends/Dynamic Friends Reprise) is dedicated to creating and nurturing new and innovative works that explore the struggle between the authentic self and societal norms

 

Dream Sweet Films (Producer) has set out to create and produce films, web series, and theater that will entertain, impact, include, and educate. Their projects are made with love and care and a little bit of magic! Their YouTube series Maestro's Magical Music Box has over 38,000 views in over 25 countries.

 

Frigid New York (Co-Producer) FRIGID New York’s mission is to provide both emerging and established artists the opportunity to create and produce original work and to amplify their diverse voices. We do this by presenting an array of monthly programming, mainstage productions, an artist residency, and eight annual theater festivals that create an environment of collaboration, resourcefulness, and innovation. Founded in 1998 as Horse Trade, the aim was and is to form a structure, allowing multiple artists to focus on creating and staging new work and providing production support and affordable rental space to scores of independent artists. Now in our 25th season, we have produced a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater.

Heather Casseri is thrilled to be choreographing the premiere of Maestro's Magical Music Box Live! and to be able to be a part of bringing her sister’s vision to life. Her choreography has been seen in regional productions of Matilda and High School Musical 2. She has taught at many different dance studios around the Buffalo area including Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, Configuration Dance Theatre & School Of Ballet and Step In Time Studio of Dance. Heather would like to thank her family, friends and four fur babies (dog and three kitties) for their ongoing love and support. Meet Nikki Casseri and Brandon Schraml, the dynamic married power duo behind Maestro's Magical Music Box Live! and Dream Sweet Films. They are actors/writers/directors/singers in theatre, TV, film and commercials nationwide. They have performed in 48 of the 50 states and can be recognized as recurring TV characters on shows such as Manifest and The Path. They have a rescue pup named Sparkle and live in a cozy Queens apartment, and their goal is to tell stories that make a positive impact on our world.
